这次全会开得很好。全会听取了中央政治局工作报告，分析了全面从严治党形势，审议通过了《关于新形势下党内政治生活的若干准则》和《中国共产党党内监督条例》，作出了关于召开党的第十九次全国代表大会的决议，完成了各项议程。
This plenary session has been a success. We have heard the report on the work of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, analyzed the situation we face in our efforts to comprehensively govern the Party with strict discipline, deliberated and approved the Code of Conduct for Intraparty Political Life Under New Circumstances and the Regulations of the Communist Party of China on Internal Oversight (hereinafter referred to as the Code and the Regulations respectively), and adopted a resolution on the convening of the 19th National Congress of the CPC, thus accomplishing all items on the agenda.
下面，我代表中央政治局，就贯彻落实全会精神和做好当前工作讲几点意见。
On behalf of the Political Bureau, I would like to make the following points with regard to implementing the guiding principles of this plenary session and accomplishing our current tasks.
一、坚定不移推进全面从严治党
I. Remaining committed to comprehensively governing the Party with strict discipline
落实好全会精神，必须更加深入地认识和把握全面从严治党。党的十八大之后，党中央全面分析党和国家工作面临的新形势新任务，综合分析党内、国家、社会以及国际环境中出现的新情况新问题，得出了一个重要结论，就是要进行好具有许多新的历史特点的伟大斗争、有效应对各种风险和挑战，实现“两个一百年”奋斗目标、实现中华民族伟大复兴的中国梦，必须把我们党建设好、建设强。如果党内信念涣散、组织涣散、纪律涣散、作风涣散，那就无法有效应对党面临的执政考验、改革开放考验、市场经济考验、外部环境考验，也无法克服精神懈怠危险、能力不足危险、脱离群众危险、消极腐败危险，最终不仅不能实现我们的奋斗目标，而且可能严重脱离人民群众，上演霸王别姬的悲剧。这就是党中央反复强调“打铁还需自身硬”的根本原因。
To implement the guiding principles of this plenary session, we must gain a deeper understanding of what is entailed in comprehensively governing the Party with strict discipline. After the 18th National Congress of the CPC in 2012, the Central Committee conducted a comprehensive analysis of the new conditions and new tasks facing the Party and country, as well as new situations and problems that our Party, country, society, and the international community had encountered. On this basis, it came to an important conclusion that a strong, well-developed Party would be essential if we were to succeed in our great struggle with many new historical features, effectively respond to various risks and challenges, and realize the “Two Centenary Goals” and the Chinese dream of national renewal. If there were wavering beliefs, weak organization, lax discipline, and slack conduct within our Party, we would be neither able to respond to the tests brought about by our long-term governance, reform and opening up initiatives, the market economy, and the external environment, nor able to deal with the dangers of losing drive, incompetence, becoming out of touch with the people, and corruption. Were that the case, we would not only fail to achieve our goals, but end up with a tragic estrangement from the people. This is the fundamental reason why the Central Committee has reiterated that “our Party’s capacity to fulfill difficult tasks hinges on its own strength.”
