温家宝说，近年来，中柬全面战略合作伙伴关系快速发展，双方相互理解、相互尊重、平等相待、高度信任，在涉及彼此核心利益的重大问题上有力地相互支持，在地区事务中加强战略协作，维护共同利益，不仅造福了两国人民，也为促进地区和平、发展、繁荣作出了贡献。中柬关系堪称睦邻友好合作的典范。
Visiting Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao said here Sunday that the relationship between China andCambodia has set a good example of friendly ties between neighboring countries.
Wen made the remarks during a meeting with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen.
The comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation between China and Cambodia haswitnessed rapid development in recent years, Wen said.
The two sides have treated each other with respect, mutual trust and strongly supported eachother over issues bearing each other's core interests, Wen said.
China and Cambodia have also strengthened coordination in regional affairs and safeguardedcommon interests, which not only benefits the two peoples but also contributes to regional peace, development and prosperity, Wen said.
The two sides should make a success of next year's events marking the 55th anniversary ofbilateral ties and speed up efforts to work out an action plan for China-Cambodia comprehensivestrategic partnership of cooperation, the Chinese premier said.
China will continue, as it has always done, to offer Cambodia support in socio-economicdevelopment and the improvement of the Cambodian people's well-being, Wen said.
China will also work to increase practical cooperation with Cambodia and encourage more Chineseenterprises to invest in Cambodia, he said.
Hun Sen noted that China has rendered Cambodia firm support and valuable help in its effort tosafeguard national independence and sovereignty, as well as in economic development.
Cambodia is willing to make concerted efforts with China to take the opportunity of the 55th anniversary of bilateral ties to expand economic and trade cooperation, increase people-to-peopleexchanges and push bilateral friendly ties to a higher level.
Premier Wen arrived in the Cambodian capital Sunday afternoon to attend a series of meetings forEast Asian leaders and pay an official visit to the country.
Wen said the meetings for East Asian leaders are being held against the backdrop of a weakeningglobal economic recovery and complicated international and regional circumstances.
All parties should focus on the theme of cooperation and development and build consensus so asto make concerted efforts to address difficulties and challenges, Wen said.
Wen also said that as ASEAN's rotating presidency and the host country of the meetings, Cambodia had done a lot of work for coordination and preparation, adding that China would do itsbest to support Cambodia in hosting the meetings and push East Asian cooperation to develop in ahealthy and stable way.
Hun Sen said Cambodia would like to closely cooperate with China, expressing the hope that allparties would work together in the spirit of solidarity and cooperation to make the meetingssuccessful.
After their talks, Wen and Hun Sen attended the signing ceremony for bilateral cooperationdocuments, including the agreement on bilateral economic and technological cooperation.
