翻译技巧名家翻名句（24） ：（）　2008-7-24　【：】　 　　Through the windows he could see moving sheets of rain-rain that dribbled down the panes filling his mind with thoughts of the lake creased and chilled by wind;the nest sodden and black with wetness;and the egg cold as a cave stone. 　　译文：透过窗户，他可以看见那移动着的雨幕。雨水顺玻璃窗往下淌着，使他想到湖里的情形：风吹皱了水面，吹冷了湖水。野鸭巢被浇湿了，颜色发暗。那只野鸭蛋像山洞里的石块一样冰凉。 　　赏析：如果把这里的译句拿出来，单独放一边，恐怕没有几个人会想到它是一句译文。“风吹皱了水面，吹冷了湖水”，是否得自于那句人人皆知的“风折起，吹皱一池春水”？原句只有"creased and chilled by wind",译句中重复了“吹。。。”这种重复不仅是逻辑、表达上的需要，也是美学上的需要。。“移动着的雨幕”，形象、贴切。读这句　　译文，我总想起我那无忧无虑、在秋雨中水边玩耍的少年时代：野鸭早就飞走了，野鸭蛋还在吗？ 　　I shall act accordingly.（注意：此句前一句为"The fate of the Reich depends only on me."） 　　译文：我自然当仁不让。 　　赏析：这个句子的翻译之妙，主要在于用“自然当仁不让”来译"act accordingly",不仅译出了原文的“意”，而且译出了原文的“情”。具有丰富的词汇并善于运用这些词汇，永远是翻译出好作品的先决条件。
